Hi everybody, I bought an FZ6 RJ07 model from 2006 on auction, but it has no keys so I can't ride it yet. It is a european model, so it comes with an immobilser. So my idea is to buy a used lockset incl. immo from ebay.
I have found a set for a reasonable price, but the owner says it comes from the RJ14 model (2007-2010) and that it will not work on the RJ07 model (2004-2007).

Does anyone know whether or not these parts are different on the two models? They look the same so I assumed it might be replaceable.

And is the immobiliser always linked with the key? In other words, if I buy another ignitionlock with the matching (red)motherkey can i program it to work with the excisting immo or are they always a pre-matched couple?

Hope someone can help me, so I know what to buy.

Kind regards
Otto

Check the service manual, as far as I recall there are some wiring differences.
