Hello everyone, I am looking at converting to naked (aren't we all?) with a single round headlight. I am looking at the Aztec8 round kit and see that it uses a single H4 bulb. Currently on my '08 S2, the H4 is only used for high beam and in order to get that dual functionality I need to perform the dual headlight mod (GiroMoto or BD43 methods).

My question is this: If I am really only looking to convert to dual function in order to go naked, can I simply run whatever wire controls the low beam on the H7 to the H4 and be done with it? Do I really need to go all the way to the harness or install a bunch of other wires?

While you CAN use the H7 low beam wire and the H4 high beam wire, that arrangement will cause you to have both the low and high beam filaments on in the single headlight, generating more heat and shortening the bulb life. The preferred way would be to do the dual headlight mod then use the wires from the H4.

I did the same thing while converting to naked. Just added one more wire coming from left hand switch socket to the healight bulb socket. For activating high beam.

Can't say I understood exactly where the wires go reading bd34's tutorial... I too am going to a naked conversion. So if I was wanting to run a single dual filament H4 bulb. I would run the new low beam wire that I made from Bd34 to the 'left' prong. The high beam negative to the 'right' prong and then the original high beam positive to the 'top' prong? Is that right?

Thank you.

Also, does anybody know if bd43 is making the pin for the mod anymore?

Looking at the back of the plug where the wires enter.
Left, black wire (Ground) Center Low beam and right high beam (black with a yellow tracer) The bd43 wire will go where the low beam wire is suppose to be.

The color codes on the following diagram are not the same for the FZ6 except for the black ground but the call out for the pin are correct.
The black ground wire provide the ground return for the high and low beam filament in the H4 lamp.
Contact bd43 to see if he still makes the wire kit.
