I have a 08 and when it gets to 210-214 degree‘s the bike completely shuts right off with the Head lights and dash going out. After letting it cool for down for like 10 minutes and turning the key off and back on it fires right back up. New battery, stator and regulator. Any Ideas? Maybe the coils are going bad? And does anyone know of a temp. Sensor that can turn the fan on before 200 degrees? Any help or thoughts would be appreciated!...

As it's happening only when it gets hot, something is expanding and your loosing your power (or ground) line...

You seem to have a slightly loose main (battery or close to it) electrical line/connector. That or a "faulty" wire to the battery/corrosion causing a bad connection..

Lift the tank, pull and clean all connectors from the battery out. Check tightness as well, DON'T JUST LOOK..

Welcome to the forum. 210-214 degrees is a normal operating temperature so it's not something to do with the cooling system or fan. The headlight going out is a clear indication that there is a loss of electrical power. Scott has given the first things to check, battery connections. Also check the ground connections at the engine and frame. I'd also check the main fuse to ensure that it is fully seated. These are the easy things to check. Beyond that you are going to need a multimeter, time and patience.

Is this bike (or has this bike) been stored outside?
