I had been looking at buying a new FJR for a while. While the paddle shift kind of interested me, I'm not ready to let the computer control the clutch. Around here it's hard to find a non AE model. Last year there were several leftover FJR's at dealers from '11 and '12 but I couldn't find any...
I've been coming here ever since I bought my '07 FZ6 new nine years ago. Although I never posted much I always tuned in to see what was happening and get the latest info on the bike and it's riders. I can honestly say that the FZ has performed flawlessly over the years. It rates up there as one...

Yamaha uses square cut gears. Stronger than bevel cut but famous for their whine. My Venture had a bit of the whine at around 60 mph. I cured it by going 70.
It starts to hurt after at the 4-5 hour mark. The most uncomfortable stock seat I ever had was on a Kawasaki ZR 7S. My butt started to hurt after about an hour.
What fender eliminator are you using on your FZ6? I installed one I got from SBN when I bought the bike years ago that a member there made. Unfortunately it broke right before I went on vacation and I need to replace it. I would like to replace it with an exact copy but cant find a listing for...
It's part of the Lake Wales Ridge. My wife and I were married at Bok Tower Gardens. It's near Lake Wales FL. It's almost as high as Sugarloaf Mountain at 300 feet above sea level.
I was just driving through Orlando last week. Family vacation to visit my new grandson and we made a side trip...
My wife and I were headed back to Ohio after visiting a new grandson in Florida. We stopped for gas just north of Cornelius North Carolina yesterday and as we were getting back on the interstate we spotted a rider on a red 2007 FZ6. Anyone here? He was headed north, as we were, but looked more...
This isn't quite true. My brother lives in Fort Myers and he knows all three curves within a 100 mile radius of his house. He rides them every chance he gets!
If you make it down as far as Point Pleasant WV, make sure you take a side trip on WV RT 2 toward Huntington and eat at Hillbilly Hotdogs in Lesage. The ride along the river isn't bad but it's definitely not twisties. You will be glad you made the trip!

Years back when Big Muskie was in operation, I did some of the analysis on the oil in Big Muskie's "legs". Also got to spend some time on board as it was in operation. The word "Impressive" doesn't do it justice.
SR 83 from Coshocton north toward Amish country is a great ride. Not near as technical as the 555 but enough hills and turns to make it worth the trip. Also has some nice long sweepers on some of the ridge tops. I don't recommend it on a weekend, though, as a lot of folks hit the area headed...
There's also a ton of fantastic little Mom and Pop diners scattered throughout the area in small towns. My favorite closed up, unfortunately, several years back. Four grandmothers ran a small diner that advertised 25 different pies daily. The food was to die for. Sadly, they just got too old to...
Southeastern Ohio has more than a few great roads to ride. From the Hocking Hills area all the way to the Ohio River you will find some really fun roads. The Triple Nickel isn't the only one.
Your zip code in C-bus could well be working against you. Your age isn't doing you any favors either. I live in Pickerington and have two bikes on my policy. (see my signature) I pay $250/year with Progressive for 100/300/50 coverage. As it was explained to me, Picktown has a much lower theft...
