Howdy everyone!

It's been a hot minute and a long while has passed since the great days past where I spent a lot of time on this forum.

Of all my internet meetups/forums etc. over the years, this is the one place where I have met the most people and had the most fun.

Cliff (@Motogiro I think?) knows, I've bought an MT-09 and it is amazing. Nuff said as this is the FZ6 forum ;)

I just sold my beloved 2007 red FZ6, to a very nice fellow named Lee. Godspeed Lee and my fast red FZ6!

Do see our old old thread where Lefty and I were pulled over by the famously friendly CHP Officer ... shoot I am spacing on the name, help me guys! Out in Anza Borega having just come down off Montezuma, bringing up the rear. :)

(EDIT: Officer J Peterson!)

Cracking good times!

I'm over at fz09.org under the same handle btw

Lucky Lee! Hope Lee joins up with us.
I remember that ride! I was just healed up from totaling my R1. I was at a dealer getting another bike. I think Goop was posting picks (real time) of you and Lefty with the CHP. I was wishing I was with you guys that day! I was showing the sales person my phone with the picks of you guys at the bottom of Montezuma Valley road. Also know as the Glass Elevator because of the incredible views through turns as you drop about 4,000 feet into the desert. Anyone who's done this ride will attest to it's unusual beauty. One of the best rides on the planet. Not just the scenery but the turns. We've done probably a little faster than we should up and down.
I've done so many awesome group rides with forum members! It was at one time my religion!

Thanks guys. I loved the FZ6. I said to it as I was prepping it and within earshot of my wife, thanks for always taking care of me and getting us back safely. She never let me down! Loved

In terms of the sale, I met the buyer over at a local shop that offers a service where they will inspect the bike and give it a test ride, and give you a report for a fee ( it was $65 if I heard right). I went in the back with the buyer, to hear the report. One thing he mentioned was that the alternator output was lower than desired both at throttle and at 5k RPMs, about a half V short each. He said, "so it's still technically charging the battery ..." but I never had any issues with it. He did say that Yamahas tended to be that way, especially back then.

He also commented on how it appeared to be solid and that Yamahas were great reliable bikes overall.

As for my new ride ... the 2021 MT-09 (fka FZ09) is amazing ... the triple engine is superb, just strong everywhere!
