If you're selling private, I doubt most buyers would even think to ask... Unless they're well up and barter you down by $350. I personally wouldn't put any more money into it if you're looking to trade in. Dealers may ask, but will know well enough a few hundred is negotiable on a PX.
Excellent write up and pretty much exactly the same experience I had with mine.
I found that using the maps provided by DynoJet on their website were a good interim solution before going for a custom remap. The main issue I had was that every 'stock' map seemed to cause the bike to run very...
Nothing off the shelf unfortunately, without buying a new set of fairings! I'm confident I can fab a set up, the fairings are at the body shop being resprayed at the moment.
Once they're back I'll update with how I get on.
You're not far from me at all (I'm just outside Portsmouth), it'd be great to see this bike over the summer sometime! I was planning on remapping again soon anyway, though having read through this thread am very tempted to go for the cam swap first!
What is the advantage of the blanking...
Hello all,
I'm about to pick up a set of lower fairings for my '07 Fazer, however the seller doesn't have the fixing brackets or bolts! Does anybody know if the fitting kits are available anywhere online? Or what's required to fit them if not? I'm waiting on a local dealer to get back to me...
The Power Commander units on their own are around £350 new iirc, the package for £550 may include a panel filter... I'd be biting their hands off if it includes anything else. Hopefully Double Take will get back to you shortly!
Out of interest, what sort of gains / effects are you hoping for...
Depending on what the other bits are, the cost sounds about right; I was quoted £160 (+vat) from Double Take in Southampton for the Dyno time and a remap alone.
You might be able to get a PC3 on eBay for a bit cheaper than new, I managed to pick mine up for £80. I'd also recommend the K&N...
I was previously running the Osram Nightbreakers which were a night and day (pardon the pun) upgrade over stock; however this winter fitted an HID kit to the H7 - I went with the 5000k H7R from Xenon HID Headlight Upgrade Kits from HIDS 4U - H7, H4, H1.
I'm not sure how much of it is...
You might be after something similar to these indicator spacers, by bonding them to the fairing, you should be able to fit most aftermarket sets. Note you may need a set of wiring adapters too.
Or... with the S2 you could remove the bracket from the upper fairing, cut it back and bond / fix...
