  • Hi Matthew,
I laid the saddlebags over the seat, with the most forward of the bags' "lozenge" shape corner of the bags on top. Adjust the big velcro pad between the two so the two bags are over the sides, but only just. Adjust the protector pads so that no part of the bags themselves touch the bike. Secure the rear of the bags first; using the supplied web strapping, secure and tighten the straps under the mufflers, under the large horizontal "U" shaped bracket that the tail light is mounted on. Make sure that the loose ends are securely tucked away.
Then take the front lower web straps and simply put them around the passenger footrest bracket and pull tight. Once you've done that, the bags are rock solid on the bike. That's basically all the attachments you need. If you're a "belt and suspenders" sort of person, you can attach a couple of bungee cords as well, using the plastic "D" rings that are on the upper part of the bags at the carrying handles. Remember, the main thing that will make the bags move or fall off is wind blast. Secure the bags thinking of how the wind will affect them, and you'll secure them just fine.
Here's some other pics that I took the other day, hope they help!
    Mike
