    Interesting. I wonder why this bike sat in the dealers inventory for 12 model years.

    The bike pictured is 2007 or later...

    I thought that too but then thought that it is possible that European markets get the newer bikes before the North American markets.

    Perhaps it was intended as a gift to someone or themselves, then something nasty happened and the would be owner wasn't able or willing to ride anymore. Or perhaps they just forgot about it . There are people for whom the price of a new fz6 is just loose change.
    Then it just sit somewhere, till it was sold to that dealer. There is just no way a dealer has just forgotten a bike in their inventory for that long.
