I voted "other" because the most conventional way, walking into a bike shop, isn't on the list.

I went to my local Yamaha dealer to buy an XJR1300 and my wife saw the Fazer. I had never seen one before and decided that after 20 years without riding it was a more sensible buy than the XJR.

I voted other...bought one of my fizzers from a stealership, the other from Yamaha Racing Team Australia!

The bark is only half of the symphony, the induction roar is pretty darn sweet, as is the over-run...the induction noise is a bit of a roar, the over run is like a deep purring noise!

One thing this bike is, is musical!

Found my bike at a stealership while looking at a Triumph TT600 , dealer said he could do a run-out price on a new FZ6 that would match the TT600 , I looked the FZ6 over , fell in love with her styling & the rest is history

Still really really really want a TT600 though would be awesome as a weekend warrior

No longer a fan of the brand....

Re: Where did you find your bike??

Went for a bike lesson in Joondalup, walked across the road to the Yamaha dealership and there she was Fell in love with her. Went home and decided my CBF250 just wasn't going to cut it. Told Mike I saw this beautiful white bike with a red stripe down the tank.

Couple of weeks later, after sitting and passing my test, went back and she was still there. Bought her on the spot

A friend pointed me the way to a website his father-in-law works at. I saw the price, called and bought it new. . .3 yrs old.

Re: Where did you find your bike??

Walked into the dealership looking to buy a new in crate 06 Katana. They swore it was still there and then when I got there someone had put some money down on it. Walked out the door disgusted, and noticed the FZ6 sitting out front.

The dealer asked me if I wanted the FZ6. I said, "If you can do it for the same out-the-door price as the Katana, yes."

That Katana is still sitting at the dealer.
