I bought a set of "Grab On" grip covers at a Harley Shop and put them on my bike. There is still some vibration but it is minimal. Install was pretty easy. I used hairspray instead of soap and water and they went on right over the existing grips without putting up much of a fight. It took awhile for them to stay put on the grips though. I sat the bike out in the sun and this seemed to speed things up. I'd advise against riding for a full 24 hours though.
For about 10 dollars it was worth it. They are not top of the line quality and you may have to change them out after a year so buy two sets. Depends on how much you ride.
I haven't ridden in the rain with them so I'm wondering if they will come loose when they get wet.

Here is what I used.
The hand grips are half way down. Called "Grab On Grip Covers"
