Rear seat cover (cowl?)

I think I got that right. Anyway, wondering if Yamaha or any aftermarket companies make a rear seat cover. I don't plan on having any passengers and would like to cover up the rear seat to make it look a little sharper. Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

not sure were you are in the world but yes Yamaha do make a seat cowl/cover for the FZ

last time i checked it was around £175 there will be aftermarket parts but i have not really looked

Yamaha does make a stock factory Seat Cowel. I purchased mine when I bought my bike. Your dealer should be able to order one up for you:



TCP also makes a killer looking seat cowel..at about 3x the price!!

I've also been looking into these but I can't find one to match my blue 2007
fz6 S2 .... They only seem to do the lighter "power blue"

If anyone knows differently please let me know

i see your problem the FZ6N all have black tails and the fazers have coloured tails to match the rest of the bike

the ones for the earlier fazers and FZ6 fit the new 07 bikes here is the parts list and colours

That looks pretty good. And if you look at the Yamaha-europe accessory site, the color code for the '07 Team Yamaha Blue is DPBMC, which is the same one TCP lists for the 06 as "Deep Purplish Blue Metallic." So it sounds like the TCP would work just fine on my '07. Thanks for the info!

Hi mate ... Do you know where and how much you can order these for ?

I think mine is the DPBML Colour ... I tried my local dealer and they were all confused that the only one in their latest catalogue was for a FZ6Naked and obviously the wrong shade of blue ... They even phoned Yamaha UK who were also confused ... I didn't get an answer

have you tried J&S Accessories they may be able to get it, if not try colin appleyard and i will ask our premier deal over Alf England they even order bits from the states for the star bikes
there is currently a Galaxy Blue Cowl on Ebay item number 150153756598

Many thanks mate ... I've tried J&S but no joy there ... They are my local dealer !

I'll have a look at e-bay and also Colin Appleyard to see what they know ...

Pretty stuck on the Yamaha design one though ... seems a little smaller than others I've seen and also more appealing ... If that makes sense ??!!

I've seen this one that is advertised as an 04 onwards galaxy blue ... will it fit my 2007 model ?? looks like it should !? but don't want to waste the cash ...

having quickly checked the Yam Euro site from the pictures it should fit and considering the part number for the midnight black is the same for the FZ6 and the FZ6 S2 be it the fazer or naked i would say Yes

To all FZ6 enthusiasts... I have been working on a seat cowl with storage conversion kit for the FZ6 for the past year. The tail cowl is officially "patent pending" and is about to go into production, shooting to have them available in roughly a month. They will initially be available for all FZ6's from 2004-2009. It will include optional accessory charging and feature cargo lighting and carpeting. Pictures and the website will be available in the coming weeks so stay tuned. My goal was to give the tail a very unique look and ad storage for the daily commute. I know all will be interested in seeing it so I am including this pic of the prototype during development to give an idea of its approximate look. The seat vinyl is pealed back in this pic... Apologies for resurrecting this thread from the dead, but does anyone know if the TCP cowls, specifically for the 2007-2009 FZ6, also fits the European S2 bikes, or am I out of luck on this one?

Sorry for bringing this forum back to life but I'm in need of a rear seat cowl for my blue 2007 fz6. I can't seem to find one anywhere. If anyone knows of a place or someone that has one please let me know.
