This lady used to be a contract truck driver where I work. She lived life to fullest whether it was on her bike, a waverunner on one of the local rivers, or on a souped up sled up in the mountains. She was a gem...and killed by someone doing a lefthand turn.

Fatal motorcycle crash victim named

Wednesday, 20 August 2008
The woman killed Saturday when her motorcycle struck a mini-van has now been named by authorities. The RCMP said Wednesday that Valerie Yvonne Enders, 59, died at about 8 p.m. that night on Old Cariboo Highway at the intersection of Holmes Road.
"An eastbound Dodge Caravan, driven by a 19-year-old Prince George resident, failed to stop at a stop sign on Holmes Road, entering the path of the northbound motorcycle," said RCMP Sgt. Pat McTiernan of North District Traffic Services. "The motorcycle collided with the right side of the van, ejecting the rider. Enders was pronounced deceased at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision."
A number of investigative avenues are still being explored. McTiernan said an autopsy had already been completed, as had mechanical inspections on the vehicles involved. Witnesses are in the process of being interviewed.
One witness has not been spoken with yet and police are anxious to have that dialogue. It was learned that an unknown male was there and saw the crash but did not stay at the scene. His knowledge of the incident would be a big help, McTiernan said. He hoped this stranger would hear of the investigation and come forward as soon as possible. He can call the North District traffic team at 250-649-4004 or the Prince George city detachment at 250-561-3300 and will be put through to the proper investigator.
