It looks like it was a great experience!
Did it rain or did they water a section of the track?

It did rain!

We did 7 20-minute sessions throughout the day (plus class time) the 6th session had about 10 minutes of rain beforehand and I'm actually really glad it did! I was leaning it over further in the rain on the track than I ever do dry on the street! It was completely dry except a puddle here and there by the end of the session, though. But going 120mph+ in the wet was definitely something else... :BLAA:

It was a great learning experience, to be honest and I'm so glad I did it. :)

Looks like fun, except for the water hazard. How do you like the lionheart leathers?

I love the leathers! Great prices, great customer service, comfortable, and I feel safe in them! My one piece of advice is to pay for the custom sizing. It may be a bit more, but it's so worth it.

So is that up in Grattan? A guy I work with was just telling me about that place. He travels there pretty often with his brother. I cant afford a track day though. :(

Yeah it was, actually!

Fox Kentwood was having a "Customer Appreciation Track Day" for $50.

Apparently SBTT has another track day in August for $80...

The real cost comes in with the bike/tires/leathers...

Great! Glad you had fun and just like the rest of us you are addicted ;)

It's nice that you posted about riding in the rain and that you are glad you did it. Sometimes we have rain days at the California Superbike School days (i'm a coach) and students actually consider not riding but when they do they love it!!! It is great to work on technique in the rain and gain more confidence knowing that you can do it!

What did you find the hardest part about riding in the rain?

I took a track day class at the Ridge in Shelton Washington and while I whined about it at the time, it was a good thing in the end, for two reasons. One was I am new to sports bikes and the rain kept me from being too stupid with only a week of it under my belt. The other was I now have NO qualms about riding when there's a chance of rain. Bring it on!!!!
