OK, I searched on 'insturment panel' and 'warning lights' and got nothing useful. I purchased my '05 used and the kid had an operators manual but the insturment cluster shown was for the '06 and later bikes. Same for the PDF manuel I DL'd from yamaha. So I got's no idea what the lights on the left side of the blob mean, or how to switch the readouts on the LED desplay. I need to see the mileage for sure. It comes up on a trip meter when I start it.
Tennessee gets a little freaky about the Mileage. While I doubt the fat slob at the title office will bother to jiggle out to check, I long ago learned the best way to make sure nothing goes wrong is to be prepared for it to go wrong.
