Ok - so I saw this on ebay yesterday and jumped on it. It looks like a used set of Scorpion Carbon Fiber Exhaust. At 225 I figure that its either a good deal or something I can sell if it doesnt work.

2006 Yamaha FZ 6 Exhaust Pipe Muffler "Carbon Fiber" Aftermarket | eBay

So here are my questions.

Based on some reading on the site -

http://www.600riders.com/forum/garage-mechanical-help/37973-scorpion-exhaust-instructions-parts-diagram.html

http://www.600riders.com/forum/fz6-mods/14249-will-scorpion-exhaust-off-2005-fit-2007-fz6.html

1) It seems that the exhaust should fit my 07 bike - any other thoughts?

2) I have givi bags - any tips or thoughts on fitting for these? I see on the site it can be done - just thinking through it all.

For that price it's a deal barring anything major and they should hook right up!

Thats a relief. I found some instructions on install, but I notice from the pictures that most of the mounting items are probably not with it.

Such as:

2 x M8 x 20mm Cap Head Bolts (Z017.10072)
2 x M8 x 25mm Washers (Z017.10825)
Underseat Mounting Brk’t (Z026.20020)
Strap Bracket (Z026.20021)
Number Plate Brk’t (Z015.10028)
47-51mm Band Clamp (Z016.10003)
Brace Arm (Z007.11002)
2 x M6 x 15mm Cap Head Bolts(Z017.10609)
2 x M6 x 17mm Washers (Z017.12722)
2 x M6 Nyloc Nuts (Z017.10033)

I tried to find a place to purchase these on the web, but its not all that evident where I can pick some of these items up from. Any ideas?

I've seen the FZ6 OEM rear fender modded to do the trick and you just figure out how to hang it. :)

Nice site, I'm comfortable with the nuts and bolts but the actual scorpion specific parts are an issue right?

The underseat bracket and band clamp that actually wrap around the pipes may be an issue. One could be copied/made with an adjacent one to copy off of.

Here's their main web site: Home .

You may be able to purchase the parts you need individually. I believe they also now have a distribution center in the states as well.. I'd give them a call (if in the states) or an e-mail..

Here's the US site with a toll free #: http://www.scorpion-exhausts.com/usa-distributor.html "TAW Performance"

You might just spin back around and contact the seller. Maybe he can make you on the rest of the parts???

Ok - parts are in from Scorpion. Thanks to TAW Performance parts for their help in getting everything. Ended up getting some dbKillers as well so the total was about 200 for the extra parts. Now just need to set aside some time for a teardown and install. Anyone in Indianapolis got some space and knowledge to help?

Once you have all the parts install is a piece of cake. All you need is a friend to hold the cans while you position them and tighten everything up then all they are there for is to pass you a beer. I took my stockers off and finished install and clean up in less than two hours and four ish beers
