I removed the tail section and wrestled the stock tail light assembly out. Geez. I have an led sequential signal/brake light replacement to get into the tail section. Any tips, since the housing exceeds the dimensions of the recess opening and I don't want to break/scratch the new kit?

The light is from Motodynamic and a quick connection and test shows promising results.

Thank you to the gifted ones who will answer my plea for help. I'm sure there's a more intelligent technique than jamming and ramming it in.

Just installed mine last weekend. No matter what you do you have to wrestle it in. I had everything off of the tail piece and still had to wedge it. Came out fine though. Absolutely love the look with the old signals gone and the new led in.

I just installed one in mine a week ago. (same brand) It is tight but it will go in. I love mine and the install went pretty easy. Now I am just waiting for my exhaust.

tilt the light this way

press the middle of the grab bar against your chest and pull both sides apart, it'll spread enough to twist the light out without scraping the edges

I hope this helps.
