Hey guys. I’ve got a 07 FZ6, working on adding some additional lighting.

I have a question regarding the stock dual filament 5w/21w tail/brake bulb. When the brakes are on, does it turn off the running light filament? If no, then the bulb would be pulling 26w total.

Same goes for the front turn signals (same 5w/21w bulb), does the running light filament turn off when signaling?

No. They don't turn off the running light filaments.

Also notice the OEM tail light bulb has an added bridge on the filament for longer life because of vibration. It may also be brighter than a standard automotive 1157 type replacement.

You might find this helpful then - well if you replace the bulbs with OEM comparable bulbs.
