Did anyone had experience with plastics repainting? I have three plastic parts that are painted only with basic colour. I would like to prepare plastic parts so they are veeery smooth and after that paint them in custom colours. I was given the advice that I should use plastic primer before painting and paint at least two hands of colour. Advices, perhaps links how to?

Im terrible at painting, all my paint jobs peel off. But good luck! Make sure you sand down the original coat before you apply primer. I think thats where I go wrong.

I tried painting my bike recently.
I've got to tell you, it's a hell of a job and the results may be not as expected.
One thing is for sure: Get a decent clear coat lack, or you will regret it (as I did)

1st thing is to get a rough even surface by sanding it down with different sandpapers.
2nd apply primer 1 - 2 coats
3rd paint evenly with 2 - 3 coats.
4th apply clear coat.
