Close to 1,800 miles round trip. The FZ6 seat isn't so bad if you are a small person...it's the bent knees that bothered me after the first couple riding days....the frame sliders were very helpful in allowing me to stretch out the legs forward. The rain suit came in handy as we traveled through 3 separate thunderstorm downpours...the first time I've ridden in heavy rain...absolutely not fun as my visor was impossible to see out of!

Overall this was a great trip, awesome roads and scenery and we plan to do it again every year!

Very nice. I love it out there. The HID's look sweet w/ the reflectors painted black btw.

Thanks for the compliments! I love the Smoky Mountains, best riding on the East Coast! My FX35 projector retrofits are actually mounted on custom aluminum plates, the stock reflectors are removed completely...most of the blacked out look is provided by the black headlight housings.

How was the pace with two cruisers?

Sounds like a fun trip either way.

Sorry I missed this post. Pace wasn't bad...they don't dilly dally...I would usually have to slow up after some tight twisties to let them catch up but we were in no hurry to get to our destinations.
