Has anyone in this forum tried this yet?

Never even thought of ever needing one... My camera is always within reach

I did think many times about connecting the LCD display to the camera, with a cable, and be able to start/stop recording.

Not always I have placed the camera right in front of me, so, for that sense it would be helpful.
