Hello everyone,

Since I know that many users here (including myself) are longtime Rotella users, I wanted to pose a question to the group.

I changed the oil in my track bike over the weekend. I used half of a bottle of Rotella 5-40 (the big blue bottle) that I had from a previous change, plus half of a new bottle. I noticed on the new bottle that it now says "T6" on it, and I seem to recall reading here that the new stuff was a slightly different formula.

Do you guys think there will be any consequence in mixing, roughly half and half, the "old" formula and the new one?

Thanks in advance - sorry if this is a dumb question. I doubt it will matter, myself ... curious what you all think?

I'm no scientist, but I'm betting there will be absolutely no ill-effects. Both have JASO MA designation. I wouldn't worry about it.
