These pictures were taken when the tires had about 2,400 miles on them. You can see I am at the wear bars and according to the manufacturer, they should be replaced. However, that would be crazy as they are still providing good grip.

If you look really closely, you can make out the dual compounds :D

Just put a new set on. My 5th set on 3 bikes. Love em! I'm stickin with em cuz they're stickin with me!:rockon: :thumbup:

That's pretty sweet and maybe I'm an idiot but how did pouring water on the tire differentiate the rubber? Temps have something to do with it?

I love my BT016's. The only down side is they tend to get staked by debris more than any other tire I've tried. Warm up fast. Warm up on cold roads. Sray warm during fuel stops, and have a nice contollable squirm from the rear. Definitely my favourite street tire.
