It just really points out the dangers of how debris on the roadway can become real hazards and deadly. In this case, rocks.

Also the importance of organized group rides.

You can nevger be too careful, when there is debris on the road....especially after a big rain after a long dry period...brings all the oil out of the road as well...

RIP rider.

Precisely why I posted a SoCal alert for Montezuma Valley Rd. on Sat. night. I was told by a neighbor on Sunday the at 7pm Sat. evening we had an aftershock and that's probably what caused the downed rock off the mountain in two separate places but but oddly the rocks that were down looked almost exactly the same size groups, amount and patterning.

I've hit a little stick while in a turn and had the front move surprisingly on me. If you're going to go hard on these roads please make sure you check them first.

Ride alert my friends and RIP fellow rider.
