Are these still safe to use?

OK - so I have an '06 FZ6 with 7,XXX miles on it, and am still running the original Battlax tires. The rear looks and feels fine (although I will probably be on the wear bars by the end of the summer). The front has some cupping, and some thin spiderweb cracks forming near the rim. Are these still "safe" or am I running the risk of a blowout every time I get on my bike?

I'd change 'em.

with tires that old I would change both the front and rear. Over time street bike tires lose their flexabilty and as you posted begin to crack. it's cheap insurance for you and your bike.
