Oh Im definately gonna be watching this race. Especially since Stoner went down last time and pretty mush gave the win to Rossi.

But what Im really wanting to see is if the new Ducati GP10 are everything Ive read about, is there truth to the "hype". Considering how Hayden was riding last time it looked to be true but thats only one race. If Haydens is in the top 5 which is kinda unusual since the "screamer" GP09 he couldnt do much on, but Stoner was really the only one who could ride the GP09.

Hmmmm, till about FP2 when he will be top 6.

Then hopefully in qualifying he will get the 'qualifying' tyre to work and have a dare I say it, a shot at the front row

I reckon if he can get on the front row...he is a definite cgance for not just a Podium, but a win!

Now that would "set a cat amongst the Pidgeons" early in the Season....Rossi would be having Babies!!!! Another Yamaha Win, What the? and on a Satellite Team Bike!!!!

:D

Don't just watch this one, watch ALL MotoGP races

And try to get into the World and British Superbikes too. Fantastic racing

Nice to dream isn't it..... :rof:

I like Spies, but he won't win for a little while, maybe podium 2nd half of season.

Not used to Rossi riding injured - don't know what's gonna happen tomorrow

Lol! Spies will be on the podium within 2 races, if not tomorrow!!!! He has more grunt than Dovizioso, Pedrosa, and Lorenzo, put together....if his bike is as fast, and he gets into a straight fight, i reckon i would put my money on Spies...he fights like a dog...it's comes from all those years battling Mat Mladin in the AMA, and last year in World Superbikes....

As for Rubber man....he must be getting old, if he aint bouncing anymore, like he always has!!! :D

Mladin won 7 titles I think.

Spies will get a podium very much sooner rather than later. Agree Wolfman, Rossi will chuck a mega tanty when the inevitable happens and it will be great to see.

Except for a freaky wet weather race, Spies is the only possible winner of a Gp on a 'customer bike'. Although, just how much of a 'customer bike' is it compared to Colin's I wonder.

Mat Mladin - underestimated in Oz.

God, how many AMA Championships did he win?

Now I'm buying Pazzos from him LOL

Mladin's problem is that he is outspoken, normally right, but outspoken, nonetheless....people think he is a bit of a wanker! But, he definitely can ride...went to 500cc racing too early IMHO....found a very well paid niche in the States though...Most succesful AMA racer ever!!!

I agree, and yes, i wonder if Spies bike is any better than Colin's? Whether it has more "factory goodies", you would think not just yet, but if he get's on the podium, things might start coming his way...or will Yamaha protect Rossi & Lorenzo, and not provide better stuff???

I have a theory that could be really pulled apart, but will share.

Rossi is getting old now (even though he still has it), Ben is the first American who has shown any true 'World beating' ability (you can't count Kenny 'Im not even 1% of my father' Roberts or Nicky 'I can only win @ Laguna Seca' Hayden), and for a company like Yamaha, surely America & Spain are far more important markets than Italy.

Gut feeling tells me Rossi will not be there next year. Whether forced due to circumstances at Yamaha (like what did Yamaha promise Elbowz to leave Suzuki???) or the lure of red money.

I don't reckon Rossi would go to ducati whilst stoner is there! And if stoner wins the championship this year, I would seriously doubt even ducati would let him go just to get an ageing rossi!

Me either, can't see Rossi & Casey ever being team mates. Both have far too much to loose by being beaten by the other.

Rossi, Casey, Lorenzo & Pedrosa are all apparently off contract this year. Going to be interesting to see who goes where.

Crystal ball gazing for 2011 (if its true all 4 are off contract):
Lorenzo stays where he is - his age & being Spanish, good for Yamaha
Pedrosa stays too - Alberto Puig & Repsol $$$$
Rossi goes to Ducati - pissed off with Yamaha for re-signing Lorenzo this year & the possible paycut on negotiations due to the GFC, and the fact they have Spies on the payroll too and can't afford to leave him at Tech 3 for too long before someone else signs him
Casey goes to Honda - he doesn't want to be Rossi's team mate & Ducati have not forgiven his 'sickie' in 2009 whilst being in title contention

I reckon Honda might make a play for stoner! Seeing as Pedrosa has proven to be about as soft as butter!!!

It's been way too long since Honda has won the championship...am guessing it won't be long and the cheque book comes out...regardless of the GFC!

Laughing so loud almost woke the other half!

Thats Gold

Well it's true, my 22month old son has more "grunt" than Dani! Only time he ever wins is when he clears out from the start! I reckon you could just about get past him on a postie bike in a pack!

Pedrosa ****s me no end.

They bang on about how good he was on 250's & that he would be the next big thing.

He's got the might of Honda behind him, Spanish $$$$$ in Repsol, yet he can't win more than 2 races a year. Suggests to me he knows sweet FA on how to develop a bike! Bet if I bothered to trace his victories, I bet at least 1 of said 2 victories a year is in Spain.

FFS, Casey won more races in 1 MotoGp season than Pedrosa has managed in his entire career, yet I know plenty of people who to this day believe Ducati cheated in 2007 and that Casey has no talent!

The reality is...Casey is super talented, and is not the most loveable character.....and his biggest crime is that he is the only one talented enough to take it to, and beat Rossi...

Pedrosa is a Spanish pin-up boy, in a Championship, which is dominated by Spanish riders, in a Championship, which has it's biggest support from Spain....the modern home of GP racing...

:(

Gonna be a great race.

Pedrosa saying how 5HIT his bike was last race, then watching the back end bounce yesterday - good luck to the miserable little jockey!

Rossi said he felt good after qualifying - his shoulder has improved :cheer:

Ant West - qualified 11th - 3rd row .369 off the pace......

Yay! Westie pulls his finger out! Bike must be working better for him....would be awesome to see Westy fighting for a win....but the competition in Moto2 seems to be pretty tough....
