It still needs work (new front turn signals after breaking the ones I had :spank:, cleanup of wires behind screen, aiming the headlights down, and a good wash), but here she is.

Very nice. Kinda looks like mine. I like the little accents on your rearsets--nice touch.

Great Conversion!!! I like the mirrors.....what brand are those?

The mirrors I got are actually made by a company called Bikemaster. They make my signals, too. You can get the mirrors from here.

I have never used the CRG mirrors, but I can honestly say that these mirrors are AWESOME. I can see everything in them, and I just used the expanding collar attachment and am not using any bar ends right now. I took the bike out on the interstate last night, and I didn't notice hardly any vibration even at speeds above 70 mph. I am thoroughly impressed, I was riding with one of my friends, and I could see his headlight clearly and make out that it was a motorcycle, and not a car.

Where did you get the lights/windscreen (part number?)? Looks great!

Thanks for the compliments, everyone. I posted a pretty detailed write-up in the conversion thread here. It includes all the part numbers, everything I bought, where I bought it from, and somewhat detailed instructions.

Cleaned up the bike, and got my new levers, after sending them back. I didn't like the purple adjusters of the CRG levers, so I sent them back and got the black instead. I think they look amazing! I also changed the orientation of my barend mirrors. I can see better out of them now. What do you guys think?

Love the bike...that all black is sick. But I do have one question.

Why the risers if you're gonna go with drag bars? I would assume the drag bars just made the riding position a little too low for your liking? I'm just wondering.

Nice shots, btw!

I wanted the drag bars for the straighter wrist position, but I wanted the height of the stock handlebars. I honestly didn't realize that the drag bars would be that much of difference in riding position, but there was a huge difference.

I picked up the risers off of ebay for $23 and they have a 1.2" rise. It's just about perfect; the position is still a tad aggressive but it's much more comfortable. Also, the top of the handlebars now line up nicely with the top of the windscreen giving the illusion that the headlights/windscreen are mounted lower, and that makes me much happier as well.

Now to repaint the handlebar clamp (spilled gas on it :spank:), paint the risers, paint the top triple clamp, paint the radiator cap, and touch up the rearsets. All black, of course.

IMO

you need a dark smoked taillight lens (maybe with LED's)!

personally, i don't like bar end mirrors, i would prefer mini mirrors on the handlebar, black colored.

Also a black or carbon exhaust system.

And i would like red stripes instead of purple
