Per this thread: http://www.600riders.com/forum/racing-forum/17815-trackday-8-8-09-a.html Cali_Rider and I left early in the morning and drove 2h North of LA to Willow Springs International Raceway, for a trackday.
Last time we did the "Big track" (where I crashed, http://www.600riders.com/forum/raci...unite-now-w-pics-may-25th-willow-springs.html), so this time we tried the small track, or "Streets of Willow".
This track is a tight and technical 1.8 mile course used by Keith Code for his Superbike School... the layout of the track is a lot of fun with lots of turns and 125feet of elevation changes, and the only dissapointment was the quality of the pavement... lots of bumps, uneven surfaces, and other than a couple of sections that they've redone recently, the rest of the track is not confidence inspiring at all...
Anyway, thanks to Cali_rider for his great company and most of the pics below... thanks for all the help, the trailer, and everything else as well John!
Finally, John jumped on the gixxer for a couple of sessions (one in the morning and one in the afternoon), so look for the pics of him (red leathers + blue helmet)...
Here are the pics:
Can't go anywhere without seeing one of these!!!
Here is a view from our spot... fromt straight with turn 1, 2 and 3 up the hill...
