Air Filter

It appears that the FZ has an oiled cotton filter... does this mean it can be cleaned and re-oiled or is it disposable?

K&N or stick with stock Yamaha air filter?

Your thoughts are appreciated.

I cleaned and reoiled mine.
The manual says to remove and replace it. I guess I should do that next time.

Ok this is a note in the manual

This model's air filter is equipped with a disposable oil coated paper element that must not be cleaned with compressed air to avoid damaging it.

I didnt use compressed air, but I guess I better get me a BMC or KN
