Sooo, I have time to kill this month waiting to start my clinical rotations...

I want to do a big ride... I like to eat...

I was thinking of getting people together to ride to Dennys Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield, PA. They are known for the worlds largest burger (well between them and the clinton station diner)

It's 4.5-5 hours from me in NY, I was thinking of leaving here early driving out getting a very large burger and heading back after a few hours, probably make it a mid-week trip for traffics sake...

Anybody here game? THinking in the next two weeks sometime...

Lemme Know

Great and a midday (Wednesday or Thursday works too?)

I may have a local guy (GSXR 750) as well... All of my other friends think Im crazy...

This would be my first group ride, do you say the more the merrier? or too many cooks?

I was thinking of posting on Meetup

I recently did a group ride totalling four riders, that was a nice small group. I hesistate doing too large of a group 'coz it's difficult to maintain the group. One of the guys that rode with us told us a story of his last group ride where one of the other riders pressed his engine kill switch while they were in the freeway. Idiots like that I wanna stay away from. Not to say I'm completely against large group, I'd like to start with a more manageable size, get to know everyone then later on add more riders.
I do have a question about group rides......... Is there a limit of riders (max) to a group ride?? What I mean is I've seen large organized rides (typically for a cause) that is escorted by the police, is this a requirement due to traffic and safety? Must all large group rides be escorted? and what would you consider large??

I don't think we'll get that kind of crowd but after putting away a 10lb burger the crew may be past the weight limit...

and +1 to the crazy stuff... I like to go a little speedy sometimes, but thats me speedy not real speedy...

I live in Bucks County, PA and would be interested depending on the day. I'm planning on taking the week of 6/15 off to do some riding. I'm also doing a 2 say tour of the Hudson Valley that week if you're interested; right now it's solo, but wouldn't mind some company.

I might be interested but it depends on what time. I get off work around 4:30 PM near Princeton, NJ. Last time I rode in a group was with 10 people. A bit too crowded. Group of 4's are nice

I tried to PM the details and that wont work... Here goes...

OK… didn’t want to come off as a thread bumper so I’m PMing… I’m looking at Wednesday 6/17 for the ride for a burger, Burgerpalooza if you will. So far we have 4 or 5 guys interested including me.
I’m coming out from Queens, NY, looks like we have PA, central NJ, and southern NJ. I want to get started from here anywhere from 7-10AM figure the difference between that and to you guys at least 1-1.5 hours.

I can be reached at [email protected]

Sorry for the short notice, wanted to line things up and get the weather (cloudy and 70 degrees, would like sunnier but boots and jacket won’t be a problem)
Here is the locale when I have the participants firm I can find a good mutual meeting ground. I was thinking maybe 78W through jersey to the PA TPK, but I trust anybody who might no better for good “fun” routes.
Here is the place if anyone wants to mapquest.
