Stop looking at my title!
My over pants have armor pockets in the knees but currenlty only have foam. Joe Rocket offers a GP and a CE option URL="http://www.newenough.com/armor/elbow_shoulder_knee_installs_in_apparel/"]links at bottom[/URL]. The GP looks like it would offer more surface area for protection since the pads are just installed in pockets and are subject to moving around but I beleive CE is better. Any suggestions or alternative recomendations? I don't want the strap on type.
I am also looking into getting armor to place under my jackets and there are already some recommendations for that but I was wondering how flexible the armor is. Right now I commute on my bike and lock my gear in my saddle bags. Can an armored vest fit in a saddle bag? say dimensions 17" long, 9" wide and 11" tall. If it can't then I don't want to spend $200 on a forcefield harness if I won't be able to use it when I commute. In which case I will probably get the $100 icon and wear it when I can.
