HI, does anybody tried The Avon storm or the Maxxis touring 6029, there is price difference of 60£ betweend them, the Maxxis being the cheapest. Looking for decent mileage 7000-8000, with a decent grip, at least for the summer months and i am not sure if the Maxxis are 60£ less of "tyres" or just as good as the Avon storm.

Thanks for your help

I have a set of Avon Storms on my FZ and have been happy with them I around 2000 on the rear and 1500 on the front . I like the front end feel the give once warmed up a little and the rear is only just starting to show a flat spot .

Just finishing using the MAXXIS 6029 on the bike, for the price (150£, 280$ fully fitted) the tyres are pretty damn good, the rear lasted 6500miles (10500k) with two motorway trip 4000miles, and the front still running with more than 2 mm left.
I was a bit sceptical at the start but then got use to them, i have been told by the tyre fitter that they are actually soft tyres unlike i tought to be stone hard.
So price-quality is excellent!
