I google xring vs oring and everyone says the xring is better; more agile, holds lube better and lasts longer (anything that holds lube longer lasts longer; haha trojan man!)

Whats the final word?

I dont know. I would say for me a o-ring would be fine. I am pretty obssesive about adjustment, cleaning and lubricating my chain though. 12,000 miles and its in fine shape. I ride in the rain and have put at least 200 miles on solid gravel roads.

I agree, these bikes don't have enough horsepower to strain the chains too hard. I've got 7,000 on mine and I've only had to adjust once, just keep up on the maintenance and you'll be fine.
