You know, I may not make it to this one, but I'm just curious, what is required to attend one of these events? Is it possible to ride up there, race and then ride home or is that just crazy?

I'm going to Willow next week!!

Depending on how that goes (and how full the wallet is), I might be interested.

That would rock! It's a great track and you don't have to enter the Los Angeles area to get there.

Hope you can make it!

Exactly. I don't have drill. Now I have to talk my wife into this deal, that is the hard part. I would love to ride Willow.

This is the full course, not Streets right?

1400 miles and I can visit family and friends along one of the ways, or both. Hummm.....Got family in Tucson, Phoenix and LA.

I always wanted to do a track day. My fizzer won't fit in my Subaru and I don't have a trailer. Anyone else in SoCal with a trailer?

If you decide to make the trip, PM Wavex or myself and we'll be sure to make scheduling adjustments to meet up with you.

Thanks John. Clockwise or counter clockwise? Not that it really matters. How fast do you hit on the front straight? 150ish?

I'll need to bring my kevlar, nomex lined underwear for this one.

I live ~40 minutes way from the track and have two spare bedrooms and a trailer. ;)

Clockwise usually. I imagine the front straight can reach higher speeds w/an AMA bike.

I put some BT-016's on this week. Didn't want to hit the track with the (5 year old) original BT-020's that the prev owner had on the bike.

Hey we'll be there on the 17th - at the big track. Look for us in a cargo van & canopy!

+1 to MarinaFazer's response.

Waking up super early + Riding up there + racing all day + riding back (assuming you did not crash during the day) can be done, but really it would KICK your ass and wouldn't be safe... I am completely beat after a track day...
Another solution would be to ride up there the evening before, sleep in a hotel, race all day the next day and stay in a hotel again that night to ride back the next morning... but again, if something happens on the track, and your bike is messed up, you're stuck.

Better solution is to trailer your bike up there... you can rent a uhaul trailer for $30/day, and if you have a front wheel lock and some straps, you're good to go!
