Does anyone know how to replace the clutch cable? It's routed through the chassis very tightly with other cables/wires. I'm thinking of just cutting the old cable out rather than trying to thread it past the other cables but than how the hell do I put in the new one?
Thanks!
Eric

I changed mine just recently.

To get the new one in, you will need to remove (or lift) the fuel tank, remove the airbox and battery. I also found I had to remove the bolts holding the front fairing on the left side, to give you room to get the cable through the hole in the frame.

Not a hard job, just time consuming.

If you don't have it, download the workshop manual from here, it gives instructions to remove the airbox and all the hoses in the correct order... It's in section 3-9... (thats for the '04'07 models anyway.)

Yell out if you get stuck, I may be able to help.

The workshop manuals can be found here...
