OK, so finally I got my fairings, so here is a small pictorial on em:

As mentioned before these fairings are only 160£ directly prom powerbronze.co.uk

First the packet contents:

Bolts & brackets:

Fairing out side up:

Inside up:

The plastic seems to be a quality grade, - not to flimsy and not to thick.
All the brackets and bolts also seems to be good quality, again you get the feeling that they are made to last.

First step is to mount all the brackets.
This is fairly straight forward, and the instructions are nice and clear on placement, which bolts to use and so on.

All the brackets fits nicely where they are supposed to go:

Another example:

Everything seems well planned and well though out.

And finally, - the finish result:

All in all, I'm extremely satisfied with these fairings so far.
All that is left is the test drive, but that will have to wait until Sunday 01/03.

Very nice,

Is the colour match as good on the eye as it looks in the photos?
Have you had to remove your frame sliders?

You got your crash bobbin axel sliders to, very nice.

looks pretty good, can you make some pics from a few meters away? to see the entire bike properly?? thx :D

The bike is in a smaller room of the house right now (Goes inside one of our Guest rooms for the winter), but I'll see if I can works some magic. Otherwise I will post some when it comes back out in 29 days (march 1.)

The color match is spot on! ,- I was worried about that to, but it looks as if it came out of the same can of paint :)

The Frame sliders had to go, - but I'm going to fit new ones. To fit them I have to drill into the Fairing and mount some extra spacers etc.
Ass soon as I get my courage up to drill into the plastic, I will post a pictorial on that to.

The axel sliders are great!!,- good thing I followed your example on those

I am very pleased to hear that about the colour, I was beginning to doubt the quality of their products after the screen review. The only thing that has put me off of the fairing. Is having to drill something that I have just paid out £160.00.
A how to would be very good, I can't even think how you would go about aligning the holes.

That sorta describes my gut feeling to :)

The alignment is not that hard.
You insert the slider bolt and screw it in enough so it will touch the inside of the fairing when its mounted. The you put some grease or paint on the end of the bolt, mount the fairing, dismount fairing, and you now got a grease/paint spot where the hole should go.
Then you drill a small hole (1 - 3 mm), remount fairing to double check the alignment, correct if needed, and then drill out the 25mm hole.

So the procedure is not that complicated, but the drill/160£ takes some getting used to :)

You make it sound so easy, if it was me doing it it would go something like this:

1. Attach fairing mounts.
2. Skin knuckles
3. Screw in retaining bolts
4. Attach fairing.
5. Swear quite a lot for forgetting to paint the end of the bolt.
6. Remove fairing.
7. Add grease.
8. Remove fairing and try to figure out which part of the 5" smear is the center point.
9. Pick up phone book and call the dealer.

Nelly, it seems like #5 or at least the first part of it is a mandatory step in anything I do with tools and my bike. ;)
Yeah tell me about it, I don't know what it is? But when I come to do anything mechanical I lose all ability to think logically and methodically.

I just finished installing a set on my 09 FZ6. Only one issue... the left turn signal is now hitting the forks, guess I will have to start bending the bracket...
