Randy Mamola Highside, well almost

This is an oldie but a goodie from one of my favorite racers, Randy Mamola. Randy was one of the first racers to almost drag elbow way back in the '80's.

"Randy Mamola was widely regarded as one of the most exciting and charismatic Grand Prix motorcycle racers of his generation. Mamola was a consistent challenger for the 500cc world championship title throughout the 1980s and early 1990s. He won 13 Grands Prix and finished runner-up in the championship four times. Mamola ranked in the top 10 a remarkable 11 times during his 13-season world championship career. Before embarking on his world championship quest, Mamola won the AMA 250 Grand Prix Championship in 1978."

Not sure, it is weird, but i literally watched it on both posts and was just as amazed the second time around...

If you seach You Tube for the old racers, Lawson, Spencer, Roberts, Cooley, Garner, etc there is some great footage out there. Very fun to look at. :thumbup:

it makes me sad that on those old crappy (by today's standards) bikes they could still school me with their eyes closed... can you imagine what some of those guys could do in a new R1 or something comparable?
