Shifter Skins

Has anybody used this. I found it on e-bay. eBay Motors: r6 icon aria hjc shift msr leather jackets helmets gear (item 180157323595 end time Sep-17-07 09:14:38 PDT)
Is it worth it. I were my running shoes when I go around the courner on the bike. And i now have a black scuff mark from my shifter. I do were my icon boots on normal rides.

I don't know, the time it would take to put those on you could just put on your boots.

Unless you are one of those Rappers that says the shoes are Trash if they get a little scuff .... I would not be too worried...

:thumbup:I use one of these. Simple, inexpensive, durable and removable for washing. Top side has a piece of leather sewn on for added strength when down-shifting. Made out of stretchable neoprine for a really snug fit. :thumbup:

Rubber gear shift condoms, what will they think of next?

sorry i would never ride in trainers/sneakers bike boots or not ride, i have seen people riding in flip flops in summer and i just think mental what happens if you come off mind they were wearing shorts and a wife beater T

Since buying my fz6 (4 months now) I have only driven my car twice. I use it on a daily basis driving 30miles to work and back. This has saved my work shoes from looking like crap and unlike the shoe thing in the original post I dont have to worry about putting it on and taking it off everytime I get on my bike.

It also goes well with flip-flops.

having just seen the country you are in and having been there 90% of the scooters i saw had people on them on flipflops and tshirts - now i remember it was all the tourists:thumbup:

It p****s me off when I see kids tearing around the streets in the UK on scooters, wearing a hoodie & trackie bottoms, no gloves & a lid.

I saw one kid recently on a scooter, riding along sending a text! :banghead:

How did that happen. From the shifter?

Laying the bike down a few weeks ago.

The side of my shoe got shredded open py the pavement and I ended up having to pick a bit of gravel out:banghead:

If would have had my boots on at the time I wouldn't have the wound or the twisted ankle.

I've been down at 55 and 70 mph and didn't get a scratch either time.

I'll say it again ATGATT.
