Go for it!!! You'll have the time of your life doing it and will meet some top-notch, world-class riders.

Hmmm, might have to have a go at that. Longest ride I've done so far is 500 miles so doubling it would be a real challenge. Mind you, that was after a week touring Scotland and a hard night's partying in Glasgow till the sun came up at the end of it all so with some proper preparation and plenty of sleep beforehand it could be do-able.
