Does anyone know how many amps the stock alternator can handle? I have done the headlight mod, installed a PCIII and installed a Garmin Zumo. I am wanting to hook up a autocom system, but don't know if the system can handle it. Everything i have installed so far works flawlessly.

I did this recently in watts (power) - the bike puts out 310W @ 5k rpm according to the service manual (would be less at lower rpm and more at higher). The headlights are 55W each, tail light and rear signals 21W (63 total), front signals and plate light 5W each (15 total), 6W for my GPS (2610) - so a little under 200W total (out of the 310) if everything's going but not accounting for the gauges, your PC, ignition, etc.

Bottom line - I decided a heated vest and gloves would be fine so I'm pretty sure an Autocom in addition to your current mods would be fine.
