    Front End Suspension feels gritty

How much air would you recommend Mr Townsend for average street riding with a normal size pilot 175lbs or so?

Is there any way to make the FZ6 throttle less twitchy/snatchy in 1st/2nd?

I went 1+ on the front sprocket and it helped a little and my max cruise speed before onset pf objectionable vibration is about 5mph, the speedo is right on, and my fuel mileage is improved. But the issue is still there. Over the years my technique has improved and rarely is it a problem.

    Rain/Dust-cover for FZ6

Sorry to respond so late. I have a Dowco Guardian traveler Half part #26015-00. Perfect for my needs, compact, holds tight in wind, keeps rain off the parts that I don't want wet including side bags, protects from sun. I'm confused on sizing as mine is say five years old and I thought they had...

Hi Everyone! Needing a little advice

Oh my goodness, what a beauty! 3K?! I like mine, the best bike so far after 60 years riding and nothing on the horizon either to beat it. It's not simple nor cheap by the way IMO. It's Goldilocks.

    Downshift problems

I had the exact same problem. It was fixed by removing and lubing the shift lever pivot.

Thanks for the clarification , I'm just surprised with the weight onboard you prefer it set to min preload with stock shocks, Something tp ponder.

    2008 rear suspentin fz 600

    First deer of the season

Yep, I don't need a hunting license I've hit four! Thankfully only one on a bike but I ended up in critical with a totaled bike too. Never saw it, ran across the other lane between traffic and the headlight glare blinded me. Woke up in the hospital. What am I doing here? We need more hunters and...

    Riding above ~7K

That's funny, I find no reason whatsoever to go above 7K OK, maybe 8K every now and then. What's the point? 8K it starts to vibrate. I went up one tooth on the CS sprocket and shucks 7K is over a REAL 80MPH. I also lug down to 2K in 2nd, Of course I've been riding 54 years but still below 7K I,m...

    Rear brake keeps getting mushy

A proper correct bleed is first. I don't know what you mean about loosening a banjo bolt. There is the usual bleed nipple on the caliper which should be used.Your open can should be OK.

    Broke SIDE STAND!!!!

Should have looked more closely, broke at the top, no sleeve could fit there. Still, we all know now where the weakness is. There might be something to do to strengthen it. Ask a bicycle builder.

    Broke SIDE STAND!!!!

Easily enough to re-enforce. Fish mouth both ends with the points not at the sides but to front and back, I think... The two halves do not have to be welded the full length. Any bicycle makers close to you?. I did this to my Triumph's center stand lifting lever to make it longer for more...

    Changing fork springies

Useful new slant on this, namely being able to dial in correct sag. I have after market fork spring preload adjusters. I reckon if can only obtain correct sag with them screwed mostly out .90kg springs are too stiff. What weight oil do you use? We seem to have the same goals. Thanks.
