While riding my high bean indicator comes on and off by itself. When its off the switch works and when it turns on by itself, if i rock the switch on and back off it stays on till it decides to turn back off. I assume the vibration has something to do with it. Also, I have not ridden at night...
What if you just stuck a earth magnet to the side of the oil filter itself? I have a bunch of old hard drive magnets that I use a refrigerator magnets.
So have we verified that these are truly plug-n-play for the FZ6? I saw one poster say they did not fit correctly and had to be modified leaving the reflector housing not sealed and therefore open to moisture buildup in the housing.
I received bd43's wire after about a week. I'm pretty familiar with getting the battery/airbox out and this took me about 30 minutes. I used the instructions from his website listed on the included instructions. The photos are great on his site. Not much to say except he makes a solution better...
I have an 06 and looking to replace some fairing screws and I have been unsuccessful at finding a kit. (I did find an aluminum one on Amazon) Anyone have a source for a decently priced screw kit?
So an update... I went ahead and changed out the spark plugs with the OEM recommended NGK plugs. I did this the long way, ie.. removing the tank, air-box and battery. Put it all back together and hit the start button and nothing...
I pulled it all back apart to see if something I did putting at...
Even after that fix, I was still popping fuses. Upon further inspection I think it was the license plate light that was the culprit. I have redone those wires and about 50 miles later I still have working blinker. The light kit the previous owner used had very thin wire to splice into the bike...
I'm former LEO as well (2 short years). Not really worried about legal matters, just best way to transport it. I like the way that hard case in mounted on the Beamer. I might have to look into a setup like that with a quick easy way to detach the case. Thanks for the input guys.
