Thankyou so much for picking up on my issues and replying with the info and your experience.
I've got very similar mods, I intend to book into the UK Dynojet centre for a Dyno tune and do the airbox mod ahead of that.
What plugs did you end up going with?
It doesn't mention how he read the tps while riding though?
Mine reads fine with engine running/idling. And no delay on tps/throttle when stationary in neutral
Yeah for sure.
I don't disagree with the symptom rather than the cause.
I will try and test it. I just don't have any doubts. Fuel rail pressure would be at 100% when you shut the throttle. Crack it open, fuel is ready for the injectors...
I'll try and get a gauge safely on it. I'm a bit...
Hey Gary.
Not as yet
It's a good idea to do this but I can't help but think it's nothing to do with fuel pressure. It's not a fuel pressure like problem...
It's common with lots of fz6's and has been (from what I've read) since new.
I've got no issues with high load, high rpm running...
Hi there
This is one system used but as I said in a previous reply, this is a dead head system I believe.
So the pressure regulator is inside the fuel tank. The pressure is constant at the rail at idle or full throttle 10k rpm. No return line or vac lines.
While I do like this thinking...
I thought the regulator was in the tank?
And even if there was a delay in this .. the rail would still have fuel pressure so as soon as the injectors opened, there would be fuel delivered... Then a drop in pressure while it lagged behind building again... Then...
Thanks for trying that
I'm aware that it's a bit of a 50/50 thing, I've heard many ride stock and modded FZ6s without this issue and keep saying it's in my head or my controls aren't smooth enough...
But about 50% of replies are either, yes I'm trying to sort it too, or 'oh, glad to hear...
Totally familiar but that was a great breakdown and maybe useful for anyone in future finding this thread. Very nice, thanks.
Just surprised having full rail pressure at full throttle, shutting throttle, then opening again at lower rpm, there would be pressure ready. . . But I'll take a...
Honestly couldn't care less about more power, if I managed to get rid of the snatchy throttle mid rpm, mid turn, I'd sacrifice 10% power!
I would happily pay for a decent tune if I could find someone/somewhere willing to supply.
Powercommander/Dynojet is same company afaik and their website...
Hey Gary, thats a fair shout, I have not... but I have no evidence to suggest it was fuel delivery pressure related...
as at full throttle and high rpm, theres no lack or drop in power at all. Or full throttle from low down throttle, full load, it doesnt struggle through a pull to high rpm...
I mean, if you know of the solution to the fz6 mid rpm throttle snatchyness please pray tell... I did have a thread on it but after I've tried everything everyone on there suggests it's gone quiet with no fresh responses
I
I'm not sure what high compression pistons and high lift cams have to do with finding a library of powe commander maps.... But no.
I've got a thread going already about my throttle issue.
This is one of the many suggestions people have made which will hope to soften/solve the issue.
Is there anywhere to find a library for Power Commander maps for the FZ6?
I've seen very old threads about them but all links are no longer working.
From these threads people have obviously worked very hard on them and its a shame to see that work go to waste!
thanks
Piggy
Ok, so tried this.
Fitted as per manual etc
Makes absolutely no difference to how the bike runs imo. Rode before. Plugged it in. Rode same ride, same day. Nothing changed that I could discern to throttle.
What I did note;
It obviously changes the IAT, about 18-20° less than normal, which...
