Nice bike man, not sure on paint scheme but you should see the mess mine is in! ha.
You come up sherben ever? I've never been down ilkeston on the bike.
That might be a problem, it's my last week at work and I normally use my works camera. So I'll be sans camera until I stump up for a new one. Need to get my hands on the longer bolts. I've emailed the ebay guy but I'm not expecting anything, I'll nip down to the new SMC Sheffield at the weekend...
Ahhh, I've not got an S2 but I get it now! I'm going to need some longer bolts! I've got the ones that attach the screen to the brackets but not the brackets to the bike...
I've done a search and found a description but has anyone got an up close picture of how the yamaha screen fits on the FZ6-N?! I bought one via fleabay, it's got two metal brackets but I can't see what they attach to. A picture would be great.
Thanks,
Pete
This is for your licence, the situation your describing is similar to our Compulsary Basic Training (CBT) which must be done before you can ride on L plates. What we are describing above is the new test which involves doing similar skills to your CBT (slow speed manouvering, figure of 8, turn in...
Yet I'm pretty sure were the only EU country to do it. The examination centres which were pretty much one to a large town are now down to one or two per county. I know in Yorkshire we were meant to have four or five but only two will be ready in time. They have been coined 'super centres'...
How long have you got left? I had it on for a few months until my restriction elapsed. The difference is like getting a new bike. You'll find the throttle comes round much further, the revs pick up much quicker and in top gear you can add another 40 or so mph to the top speed.
I remember...
Quick reminder for UK riders doing/considering their test. Locking the back wheel in an emergancy stop is classed as a loss of control and therefore a fail. I know because I did it :'-(, it was my only error in the whole test and they failed me for it, on a downhill dusty road!
Couldn't imagine sitting around all day drinking weak watered down nats p1ss all day. Cricket has a bit of a tradition of sitting about drinking real beer all day, one of the few sports where you can still buy alcohol. Few football grounds still do but that'll be phased out over the next few years.
RIP Robert Dunlop, his son and nephews went on to race in their races too, now that takes guts.

the 33bhp restricter on mine had a throttle stop and washers somewhere, it was noticable when they took the restrictor out (for free I must add) that the throttle went twice the way round compared to when it was restricted.
Squid? lol never heard that term before. It's a requirement here to wear a helmet but it's rare to see anyone without proper safety gear on as well. Remember it only takes three seconds of sliding to go from bareskin to bone!
Filtering is a grey area here, there's nothing that says you can or...
If you get a chance to go to SMC Sheffield (formally CMC Sheffield), Jan (think it's Jan) has an FZ1 that she's had done up, lowered, various extra panels, it's lovely.
My helmet has an inner tinted visor that can be retracts into the helmet structure leaving the normal clear visor, really useful as I have to wear glasses so not having to carry around prescription sunnies.
The Naked FZ1 is lovely. I go down to the dealership just to swoon at it. There aren't many about so it seems to be depreciating less than the FZ6. I'm not a big fan of the fazer version of either but can appreciate the merits of a bikini fairing.
