Full gear when heading for work. I keep a spare suit, shirt and pair of shoes at work. My 'commute', if you want to call it that, is a quick 80 mile dash which includes the B1257, though If I'm really late I can do a 100 mile dash on the motorway - never in a rush on the bike, being in a rush is...
Anyone recommend anywhere that does custom gel insert modifications at a reasonable price, prefer somewhere in my neck of the woods - East Yorks, so that I don't have to be without my bike while Parcelforce are busy losing it in the post? :)
Cheers
I 'left' for a while, if you call getting a different bike leaving, I still kept looking in here just didn't post much. Traded by FZ6R in for a Kwak zx6r 4 years ago - often wonder if whoever bought my FZ6R is a member.
The Kwak was fun for a while, but in the end I decided that the bike...
I always shop around the minute a renewal notice arrives. Renewals have never given me the best deal until I quote them a quote number from a comparison site. For renewals they just double the real price and rely on people not checking and just allowing auto renewal to happen. :spank:
No, it's not me selling the Givi's
As for the choice I looked at quite a few bikes, I looked at an FZ8, even the Z1000. However I have a number of constraints on me, one of which is that the bike *must* fit down a quite narrow alleyway to get into my metal shed without damage. That's a 60...
Being that time of year I started looking last month for a new bike, since I wanted to replace mine this year anyway. I'm not sure what's happened but prices have leapt to really stupid heights. Eventually, and sadly for Yamaha, I got a really good price on a Kwak ZX6R, sorry folks but the deal...
I've had one of the Viper RS121's for about a year, Blutooth V2. To be honest it's great for music from my phone, but I wouldn't go out my way to try answer a telephone call, way too much noise and it is a distraction. I did answer it once at a little over the speed limit here and very quickly...
Yay, I received my calander and mug today. Excellent considering I only ordered it late last week and where it was shipped from. Have to say thanks to Dennis for organising it, excellent value and it has my bike splattered all over it.
You should all be online ordering them now. Not only...
Yeah, we've had our fair share of snow up here in the North East, been snowing on and off now for days - make that weeks. I did venture out on the FZ on new years eve, and just got back in time for it to start snowing 10 minutes later. Took the car to work on Tuesday and there was around 8...
It's not that surprising that most companies are cutting down on the variation that they offer, they're all trying to make savings. Not good for those who like choice though.
I am surprised that they're still selling in Europe (whether that covers the UK is another thing...) and not offering...
I use Centos + openvz virtual containers. Most f my containers are Debian Lenny, mix of x64 and i386 - depends on the purpose of the container I suppose. I haven't used RH/Fedora since around version 6. Other than that I've used SuSE in it's various guises. If any of them I favour Debian most...
Mine cost me £380 UK ($660 CA) so your $700 is more expensive, although I did get around 10% discount from the dealer. As everyone else has said it does alter the look of the bike and, to me at least, finishes off the bike where Yamaha seem to have forgotten. One of the other members from...
I can second that I drive and ride that road regularly and always enjoy it.
I do however question the mentality of some of the people I see as I trip up and down that road, not just bikers, car drivers as well. Speeding isn't really the issue, but crossing double white lines is always...
I have one, but never thought of fitting it to my bike. This is the link to the official mount kit, if that's any good.
