Obviously you'll have to have a wiring diagram.
Where all that factory tape has been removed, wires spliced incorrectly, etc., I would re-do that mess. It shouldn't really be that difficult since they're all color coded. So step one I would disconnect battery, then splice back everything that's...
Why not carry a filled gallon gas jug with you. Ride it where there's a station every 10 miles or so until it runs out.

Thanks so much. I'm doing that no, I'll go through a few cycles with heat, let it soak, then a few more. Then wash, blow out with carb cleaner and air. I guess that's it?

Thanks so much. I'll try all those things.
With choke plunger out I couldn't get a carb wire through, zig zag passage was what I was afraid of. I have an ultrasonic cleaner with heat but haven't tried it. What the best cleaner for that? The jets that looked removable I did take out, after...
I posted a month or so ago about my 1986 FZ600, 1800 miles, bought new. I rode it 1 year the parked in garage after draining fuel tank. Carbs were a mess so I rebuilt them, soaked, clean, lube, blew passages 150psi air. Everything works smoothly except choke. I have to spray some starting fluid...
Thanks once again! Where can I buy Gas Shok? Yamaha products are no problem to get, but that additive I can't find. It has good reviews.

Thanks so much again. I ordered carb jet cleaning tools like you mentioned. This camel whiz ethanol really causes problems. Our old (50s-60s) cars I'm replacing the gas tanks, then using pure gas.

Thanks so much. Great advice and I should have had that diagram when I had the carbs apart. I thought after all the extensive soaking, cleaning and blowing out it would be fine, apparently as you said a clogged fuel passage. I'm assuming all four are clogged. Yes, I'm choking it. It runs great...
Hello. I'm new here, retired. I have an FZ600 I bought new, 1850 miles on it. It's been sitting in garage 30 years. I removed tank and emptied it back then. Recently thoroughly washed bike, changed oil, new battery, 4 carburetors were gunked up.
I got rebuild gasket kits , soaked, blew passages...
