Stolen (now recovered) Bike FZ6N Conversion

Re: Groggy engine, won't stay running Thanks! I had forgotten about that post and the pressure regulator. I didn't go all the way back on the thread. I'll have to do that. And I'm just doing a free loaner tool from auto zone for a fuel pressure test kit. I can keep it for up to 90 days...

Stolen (now recovered) Bike FZ6N Conversion

Hey guys, It's been a while, but I finally had time to do some stuff to the bike. I was able to successfully complete both a fuel pressure test and a compression test. Unfortunately, it failed both. Fuel pressure test: 5 psi while holding the ignition 7.5 psi just after letting off Shop...

Stolen (now recovered) Bike FZ6N Conversion

So, I've never done a compression test, but I got a lot out of the shop manual. I do have a few questions in the list below: Measure valve clearance (Do I have to do this? It sounds like more work than the compression test) Start the engine, warm up for several minutes (Obviously I can't...

Stolen (now recovered) Bike FZ6N Conversion

No, nothing was connected. However I did just get a brand new battery and it was fully charged up by the bike shop. Would that be enough to make that happen? Nothing changed, when attempting to start, everything was almost identical.

Stolen (now recovered) Bike FZ6N Conversion

Sorry everyone, unfortunately I've been very busy and haven't had very much time to work on my bike (or respond on here). The last time I worked on the bike, I replaced the spark plugs. As you can see below, they were extremely fouled, so even though I know this isn't what is keeping it from...

Stolen (now recovered) Bike FZ6N Conversion

Here's the video of attempting startup https://goo.gl/photos/9jGBJuHrAy72jhg4A And then I pulled one of my plugs. I'd say they need replaced. I only pulled one because I didn't have the replacements yet. I'll replace these on Saturday (not getting Iridium by TownsendsFJR1300's...

Stolen (now recovered) Bike FZ6N Conversion

I do not have the stock tool kit. The guy who stole that took it out too. I did get a socket in with an extension pretty easily, but it sounds like i need to try 5/8" instead. I'll take a look at that injector thread. I will be able to take a video of cranking it tomorrow and I'll try to post...

Stolen (now recovered) Bike FZ6N Conversion

Groggy engine, won't stay running Long story short, my fz6 was stolen and recovered and now I'm trying to get it running again. I can't seem to get it to a steady idle. It will start, but then it idles itself out in a few seconds. Giving it a little throttle will kill it instantly. It will...

Stolen (now recovered) Bike FZ6N Conversion

Hey everyone, I've been through these threads for a while now. I know everything is mostly old, but it is still super helpful. Recently my FZ6 was stolen and the meth head busted it all up. Ripped the mirrors and all lights off (yes, ripped off, a screw driver or wrench was not used)...
