I recommend against your path of action. The brake caliper seals have a non-round cross-section, and are made from a rubber that will stand up to heat, friction, and brake fluid.
Instead, Yamaha has a factory rebuild kit that includes seals and new pistons. It's important to replace the pistons...
Are the forks modified for the RaceTech Gold Valve Emulators?
Do you have the stock fork springs?
Calipers include the brackets to mount them to the forks?
Thanks!

Okay, so here's what you do:
1) Go to Los Angeles Craigslist
2) Search "Aerostich"

You'll be okay. Just don't tighten the tie-down straps so much that your FZ's suspension is fully compressed. Make those straps snug, so they compress the suspension about one inch, but not more. Check the tie-down straps after the first few miles to make sure they haven't loosened.

I'm selling an Aerostich Wheel Balancing Stand. You can use this stand to balance your wheels (of course) instead of taking them to a shop to mess up / scratch / poop on.
I've used this stand a few times, and it's pretty easy to do. Selling because I need to put a new clutch in one...

I want to have a set of tires for track-use only so I can have more fun at the track without burning up my regular street tires...

For sale is a Laminar Lip for 2004 to 2006 FZ6 (ie: S1). This is a removable extension to the factory windshield. It improves airflow over your body and makes for a more comfortable ride. In very good condition, with extra mounting tabs. Nothing extra to buy. Made by Laminar Products...
I recommend that you take a look inside the spark plug terminal of your caps and see if anything is corroded. It should be nice and shiney. If it isn't, replacing the caps with the factory Yamaha items is best, IMHO. A bit pricey, I know, but anything purchased on eBay will likely have the same...
