Against EU Member States Introducing Mandatory High Visibility Clothing For Motorcyclists
Responsible department: Department for Transport
We the undersigned urge the British Government to put pressure on the European Commission to discipline any member state that imposes clothing...
The Missus rolled over 100,000 miles last Friday evening on her FZ6 Fazer which she bought new in June 2005.
It's a bit tatty, but still runs fine, so we took great pleasure in thrashing the pants off it round some local back roads this afternoon
We're trying to find out why the Missus Fazer keeps cutting out.
It was at our local shop for repairs recently and they said it was a wiring issue (the bike has done just over 90,000 miles!). They claim to have fixed it, but the problem is back.
She was doing an oil change this morning and...
On my Missus' '05 Fazer, it seems the official Yamaha bellypan brackets vibrating will gradually loosen the sump bolts that hold the brackets on, anyone else found this?
If you've fitted the Yam bellypan and have since discovered a coating of fresh oil under your engine this is probably what...
I've got a Shocktube group-buy offer going HERE (in the group offer forum, obviously). Don't know how often any of you go in there, but thought I'd stick a heads-up in here in case you hadn't seen it.
Anyone from here tried them? Mate of mine recommended them to me, so they're now in my shop. He rates them very highly, and there are good reviews on the manufacturers's website, always interesting to get a few more forum opinions though.
Monoshock flavour is £27, twin shock flavour is...
While my old heap was being MoT’d earlier today (yes, it did pass… eventually) I took one of those new XJ6 Diversion things out for a test ride.
Walking around it, it looks OK, nothing too offensive or overbearing jumping out at me. Not super sexy, but quite a tidy design. The only thing I...
Here's the deal, a mate of mine runs All Year Biker, offering anti-corrosion treatments for people's bikes. I was due to help him out this weekend in Christchruch, near Bournemouth on the South coast, but three people who were booked in have pulled out.
This means he won't be able to make...
Alreet
We’re hosting yet another ACF50 anti-corrosion bike treatment day on Sunday the 22nd March.
THIS is the link to the All Year Biker website so you can have a look for more info and get booked in.
DON’T FORGET… to book in before turning up if you want the work doing!
We will be...
Looks to be good stuff as far as I can see from the tiny pictures, not too expensive either. Have a lookie HERE. The guy used to be based in Leicester, but from his listings I see he's now in Portugal.
That was horrendous! I've just got in from work having done 17 miles along the A343 from Andover to Newbury in possibly the worst riding conditions I've ever encountered.
Imagine riding along a windy river with a gritty, stoney bed, sometimes just stones and bits of tree, sometimes flooded up...
Done a search, but nothing's come up.
Does anyone know the internal and external diameters for the fork seals? Yamaha ones are twice the price of 'no name' ones from an engineering supplier, if anyone knows the sizes post them up and save us all some money
ProBike in Newbury don't have one apparently, so where's the next nearest place to me that'll let me take one out? George White in Swindon? Or is there one nearer? Anyone Know?
A Google search brings up a couple of pages about them having a fire and closing down. Anyone know if this is the case?
Reason I ask is that they did a really nice set of fairing lowers for the FZ6-S, they followed the contours of the frame rather than just sitting over it, but I've not been...
Shall we try again, 7pm-ish? Should have food on this time.
THE GUN
It's still in the same place, easy to get to on the south side of Newbury, there's a nice hard carpark with no gravel, two bars and a big beer garden.
