TL;DR : Throttle was cutting in and out and now the bike is dead and won't even start. Need ideas. More detail below.
So at the end of a my first ride of the year I was almost home when the throttle cut out on me (felt like I had just completely closed the throttle) even though I was...
*: If you have riser plates or rear sets.
Obviously those giant peg feelers would drag first, but if you take those out and have riser plates the kick stand will drag first before the center stand.
I was suddenly made aware of this at New York Safety Track last week riding with Tony's Track...
So I'm hoping to take a trip on the bike down to a B & B just north of Philly soon, and i'm trying to come up with a route.
So far using sites like motorcycleroads.us and sundaymorningrides.com i've put together this:

The part in CT is just to get into NY quicker since I...
got about 5k miles on Dunlop Q2s including two track days. Now that I finally bought a track bike I am comfortable using sport touring tires since I won't be using them at track day pace. I've heard good things about the Pirellis and I'm looking forward to getting more...
So I bought these on this thread here on the forum.
Turns out these won't fit with the stock fairing, and I've already done the naked thing with my bandit so I'd like to keep the fazer stock for now.
If you have a naked fz6 these are a great alternative to suburban machinery bars or...

Thanks
Well I've now done two track days on the FZ6 with Tony's Track Days at Loudon, NH. All I can say is that this bike can be a TON of fun. I honestly almost didn't like it on the street but at the track I realized that you really need to wind it out to find the "fun zone" lol.

Just installed EBC HH pads and Spiegler lines on my 06 fz6. These pads I pulled off have only 6k miles and are like new. My last set of pads I got about 17k out of. I'll take pics if needed but these are almost 1/4#" thick.
OEM pads are $72 for both sets on bikebandit.com, I'll sell these for...
The fz6 ('06) is new to me and it seems like the clutch engaging can be harsh if your not very smooth with it(Anyone else notice this?). So I figured I'd give clutch-less up shifting a try and I LOVE IT! :cheer:
Seems like the fazer just wants to be shifted without the clutch. :D
