Having trouble finding post 225, checked your profile and used search and can't find it.
It always seems to start fine first time and subsequent times after its just after riding it for a while and its hot (fan is on or has been on) that the problem is prevalent. I rode it for 30 mins in...

I'll get this reading for you tomorrow, thanks.
This sounds, worrying? I think I understand the charging not happening but I'm not sure of how to resolve that, checking my manual it looks like a pretty intricate internal process and not something I'll be able to swap out for £50?
Thanks...
Update: apparently I don't have unlimited time so it's taken me a while to do this.
Fuel
I siphoned the fuel from the tank. Had to remove the tank completely, and take out the fuel pump (this was obscenley hard compared to videos/the manual) and i felt like I broke the fuel level meter at one...
Thanks for the reply guys.
Battery
The 12.5V reading is when the key is turned to on (fuel pump engage/hud on/daytime side lights on) but bike never actually started which also starts the headlights.
13.5V reading directly from battery when nothing is on.
I will get it to 3000RPM today and...
Hi,
I feel like a complete leech but you guys are the absolute number 1 place to come for these bikes, I've used it for years now; so even if you can't help, thanks.
I have a: 2008 FZ6-S2 ABS
27000 miles, not done valve clearance.
Kept outside, no cover ( I know) in South England weather

The problem is that the screen isn't even 3 inches so it needs to be in eye-line for me to see anything. I've tested a few setups and I would have to look at my tank to see anything in a screen this size.
testing it out in this rather ugly position today, positap'd positive to right circular running light and wire going to negative on battery.
It works well on test rides and battery seems to hold up fine but then we are having great weather here.
USB for tracker still hasn't arrived and I'm...
Nothing for now that's why it's makeshift. Planning on installing the other devices and monitoring the battery from the USB in case of issues. I did use it the other day to charge my phone in my pocket. It wasn't pretty but it worked.
Current makeshift battery health + usb setup.
Battery is healthy, Solid 13.7 V when running.
Positap'd into postitive and ground of the top left circular (?) running light and it worked straight away. Yet to get the circular tool out and attempt to create a hole in the fairing. Just fabric...
I have found one of the running lights under the left fairing, hoping to positap into that when they arrive.
I've bought all the stuff for auto relays and for fuse taps so I think I'm going to use this as a learning experience and hopefully not break anything
Thanks,
I went for: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-Voltmeter-2-Port-USB-Charger-Outlet-Socket-Panel-for-DC-12V-24V-Car-Marine/152712351839?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=452339923784&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 as I'm in the UK.
My thinking as a trial run for just the USB device...
Interesting, positaps seem to be a pretty good and simple idea for this then.
Great thanks for all the help! I'll update the thread on the outcome good or bad
Interesting, I was minutes away from buying a 20AWG cable, it makes sense so I will buy lower ga wire. Thanks.
I'm sure I replied but it seems to have gone.
thanks for the advice, I didnt expect to spend so much money (£80~ in the UK)! Thinking about it more, this solution seems to be better suited to my experience.
Looking around I can't find the exact answer, for this box do I just splice/tap into...
Interesting, I had seen your post and wasn't sure it could be used for my bike. And that's a bit more than I expected to pay for this! However, It might be better for me to go this route rather than potentially bodging something.
From what I understand of the Fuzeblocks, you splice/positap into...
